Web Access to Notes Web Client (Webmail/iNotes)

To setup a user for webmail, send in a request to Help Notes.

To access webmail, the user should be using Microsoft Internet Explorer. The address to access webmail will usually be in this format: http://
server ip address
mail file name
for the ITC1 Training webmail.
There are a few exceptions to this. If the server is LILINOTE, for example, the domain name must be used instead of the ip address. So
is the actual webmail link to the ITC1 Training webmail.
Another exception is if the users mailfile is located in a different folder. In this case, replace mail with the correct folder or folders. For example:
would be the address if the ITC1 Training mailfile were located in the “365” subfolder of the “wmail” folder on LILINOTE.

Most of the time, that address will work, but on occasion it will fail and the user will be forced to use the other address.
Username and Passwords
If the user already uses a Lotus Notes web-based application, they may already have a webmail password. All Lotus Notes web-based applications including webmail use the same password. Examples of Lotus Notes web-based applications are ISPED, Chapter 19, Safety Committee Minutes, and Webmail.
**If a user already uses one of the above applications, please indicate on the request that the user does not need a password. They will use the same password for their webmail.**
Once a user receives their Webmail password it is recommended that they change it. To change a webmail password, go to this site.
and follow the onscreen directions. Webmail accounts are available to anyone with an internet connection, so we recommend that webmail passwords should be 8 characters in length with a mix of letters and numbers.
The Username is the same as the one used when configuring the user. For example, the user name for the ITC1 Training account would be
